Adopting Technology Into the Common Core

"Today’s educators must provide a learning environment that takes students beyond the walls of their classrooms and into a world of endless opportunities" (Resource Link:Adopting Technology Into the Common Core)

Presentation Overview

While the Common Core standards focus on math, and English Language Arts, they also emphasize technology as a way to learn and apply skills. This type of reflective learning fits best in authentic learning task that require different skills sets. In this session on "Adopting Technology into the Common Core" participants will explore ways to design technology rich authentic units of learning  that support both NET and Common Core standards. This session is based on how 21st Century learning will make a educational paradigm shift in the near future.

Use a presentation tool to explain how inflection points and paradigm shifts triggers a catalyst in new ways of thinking.

Essential Question:
How can we insure that students will receive the kind of education that will inspire them to be creative thinkers and problem solvers?
DO:
Construct a thematic unit that will facilitate
authentic learning by integrating multiple technology tools to support Common Core and NET standards.
